Should I put leafcandy™ in the refrigerator?
Yes, we recommend it even if you won’t be using it for awhile. Unlike most dressings there are no preservatives in leafcandy™ and anything lasts longer when in the fridge.

Why does it get “jelly-like” when it’s been in the refrigerator?
The reason is due to the wonderful Canola oil that we use! You see, Canola oil in a natural state thickens at lower temperatures, and since we don’t use additives to act as anti-coagulants like the other dressings do, the fact that it gets jelly-like is a good thing!

You can let it sit out in room temperature for a bit and always shake it well! It does thicken when it gets cold, but it still tastes the same!

How long does leafcandy™ last?
We have not had the shelf life tested, but our own personal studies have shown at least 3 months, probably longer. Although, it never lasts in our house for that long!

If I wanted to ship it to someone, does it need to stay cold?
No. Leafcandy™ is fine out of the fridge, but we do recommend whoever receives your gift put it in the fridge when they get it. When stored in the refrigerator leafcandy™ will last for a longer period of time.
